Woman pointing at her forehead
One of the most common complaints women have in regards to the signs of aging on their face is the formation of deep creases across the forehead or above the bridge of the nose. These creases are localized, so a face lift might not be the best option- you might benefit most from a brow lift, if forehead creases are your concern.
What Can A Brow Lift Do For Me?
A brow lift will help decrease the appearance of deep creases across the forehead and above the nose. Scowl lines that run vertically between the eyebrows can also benefit from a brow lift. If you have issues with the brows sagging and causing the eyelids to droop over the eyes, a brow lift can reposition the eyebrows higher, removing the sagging and giving the face a more youthful appearance.

Can I Get A Brow Lift and Another Procedure At The Same Time?
Brow lifts are often performed in conjunction with other procedures. If you are undergoing a facelift to tighten the mid- or lower-facial regions, consider adding a brow lift to tighten the forehead. You can also couple a brow lift with eyelid surgery to remove excess skin from around the eye area and combat sagging.
Of course, you can also pair the procedure with other non-surgical options such as skin resurfacing or long-term Botox treatments. Your surgeon will recommend the best set of procedures for your specific goals.
How Can I Prepare for the Procedure?
Like with any plastic surgery, you will want to stop smoking several weeks before the procedure. You will also need to stop taking certain medications and supplements, based on the instructions from the surgeon (some medications can increase bleeding).
If your hair is short, consider growing it out before the procedure so it will cover the incisions until they are healed. If you color your hair, get that done before the procedure. After the surgery, you wont be able to chemically process your hair for several weeks. You will also need someone to drive you home, if the procedure is outpatient.
Try to gather all the supplies you will need after your surgery before the date, so you are prepared when you get home. Ask your surgeon what bandages, over-the-counter or prescription medications, ice packs, or other materials you will need during your recovery. Be sure to have plenty of clean button-down shirts so you wont have to pull a shirt over your face.
