Flatness & Loss of Volume
Flatness and loss of volume in the face can make the cheeks and orbital areas around the eyes appear hollow or skeletal and cause the bones of the face to appear to protrude. At Nova Plastic Surgery, we understand the impact flatness and volume loss can have on a patient’s life; as a result, we offer multiple safe, effective treatment options.Schedule a Consultation
Dermal fillers may be used to treat deep wrinkles that are visible when the face is at rest.
Dermal fillers are injected beneath the surface of the skin, causing the skin to plump in treated areas. New fullness disguises deep lines and wrinkles and produces a smooth, youthful appearance. Because fillers are non-invasive, there is no recovery time following the outpatient injection. Fillers are highly effective but temporary, so the effects are most desirable during the first three months and treatments should be repeated approximately every nine months.Common side effects of fillers include redness or swelling at the site of injection. In rare occasions, nodules can develop beneath the surface of the skin near the injection site and may require surgical removal.
Broadband light procedure can initiate increased collagen production, which can result in a fuller, firmer appearance, filling in hollow areas and restoring a healthy youthful appearance.
PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, injections are a newer technology designed to restore youth and fullness in the face.
Treating flatness and volume can take years off the appearance of the face and create a smoother, more full appearance. To schedule a consultation appointment for flatness or volume concerns with Nova Plastic Surgery, you can fill out the contact form here or call (703) 574-2588.
